| Welcome to splashathon 2005! |
Thanks to the enthusiasm and support of over 600 pools and thousands of little splashers, splashathon 2005 has raised over £100,000 to date and the money is still coming in. A huge thank you to all our little splashers, we hope you had a lot of fun splashing about for Tommy's! Watch out for pictures of some of our little splashers in action during 2005 which will be appearing on the website over the coming weeks. Tommy’s splashathon is an annual event, for babies, toddlers and young children. They are sponsored to swim a length or width of their local swimming pool, or simply have fun splashing! Last year over 850 pools, and 4,000 splashers around the country registered to take part in the fun! Together they raised a fantastic £140,000 for Tommy’s, helping us to fund vital research which aims to give every baby the best possible chance of being born healthy and strong. |
