On Friday 9th September 2005 nurseries around Great Britain will be
raising funds forTommy's, the baby charity by holding a Teddy Bear's Picnic. It's an easy to
organise, fun event, just encourage the children to bring their teddy bear to nursery along with
a £1 donation for Tommy's. You could provide party food, hold party games or do a number of
other fundraising activities - last year one nursery's staff had a sponsored silence, another
Teddy Extreme Sports!
Tommy's can provide you with balloons, stickers, posters, leaflets and fundraising ideas to
really make a party atmosphere.
To register your nursery - or to hold a party at home -
just print off, complete and return this form.
This year the Teddy Bear's Picnic is sponsored by
Keycamp Holidays who specialise in family holidays, with childcare, to some of Europe's top resorts.
The nursery that raises the most money will win a 7-night family break at any
one of the European sites featured in Keycamp's 2006 programme*!
Plus every participating child's family will be eligible for a special 20% discount on a
Keycamp holiday*, details of which will be
sent to you when you register.
The Teddy Bear's Picnic is the idea of Tommy's supporter Amanda May whose daughter Bethan was born
two months premature. Bethan will be 4 in September and Amanda wanted to do something to say thank
you to all the healthcare professionals who helped her through that traumatic experience.
* subject to conditions.
