HortiCouture, the first ever fashion event to be held at Kew Gardens, took place on Thursday 12 May in
aid of Tommy's, the baby charity, and the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Yasmin Le Bon and Alice Sinclair,
the winner of the 'Make me a Supermodel' TV show, looked breathtaking in floral, flirty fashion from
an array of leading designers including Alice Temperley, Diane Von Furstenberg and Escada. To add a
further floral twist, London's premier florists, Paula Pryke and Rob Van Helden, created stunning
floral bikinis for the show.
Supported by Jimmy Choo and Matches, HortiCouture was a truly unique experience. Guests
including Jerry Hall, Tamara Beckwith and Angela Griffin were escorted by human butterflies
and garden fairies to The Orangery to enjoy a Moët & Chandon champagne and canapés
reception. The fashion show and a very special 'money can't buy' auction hosted by Neil Fox
were followed by dinner and sublime cocktails created by top mixologist Alex Kammerling.
Music from society DJ Alessandra Nerdrum and entertainment from the Strictly Dance Fever
finalists brought a remarkable evening to its conclusion.

2002's spectacular 'Building Blocks' event raised a staggering £500,000 through an auction of wooden
blocks customised by over 150 international celebrities including Tiger Woods, Sir Paul McCartney, Damien
Hirst, Michael Schumacher and Tina Turner. An eBay sale of the blocks culminated in a live auction and
star-studded gala dinner, featuring an exclusive performance by Cirque du Soleil.

The 'Sporting Ball' in memory of Freddie Greenwood, held in 2003 and again in 2004, raised over £300,000
on each occasion, thanks to the support of Will and Caroline Greenwood and the sports community at large.
Both events were attended by our Patron, the Duchess of York, as well as many of the England rugby team.
Guests enjoyed a four course dinner followed by an auction of 'money can't buy' items including a club
training session with Sir Clive Woodward and a bronze lifecast sculpture of Jonny Wilkinson.

Following the success of Jonathan Ross' 2003 Film Quiz, The Brewery in London played host to a test of
pop knowledge in November 2004, presided over by smash hit quizmasters Neil Fox and Nicki Chapman. Tommy's
Ultimate Pop Quiz saw 350 pop swots competing for the number one slot and bidding for incredible auction
items, including a trip to LA to a recording of 'American Idol' and the chance to meet Craig David and
Muse. To date, the quizzes have raised over £225,000 for Tommy's. Watch this space for news on Tommy's
Ultimate Sports Quiz, taking place in November 2005...
