Sponsorship
You can support Tommy's by sponsoring a fundraising event or a part of our communications programme. A number of sponsorship opportunities exist ranging from a leaflet on a particular pregnancy health issue, to a national initiative such as Baby Day, National Pregnancy Week, Parent Friendly Awards or Splashathon. As an official sponsor, the corporate fundraising department and press office will ensure that the objectives of the partnership are met.

Charity of the Year
One way to support Tommy's is to nominate us as your Charity of the Year. A dedicated Account Manager will work with you to organise employee fundraising activities and provide promotional items to help publicise your events. Our experience in working with companies from all sectors of business means that we can also work with you to achieve specific goals and objectives.

Through our relationship with celebrities and key newspapers and magazines, our press office has experience in achieving fantastic media coverage for our corporate partners. Fundraising for your Charity of Year is also a fantastic way to increase staff morale and encourage enthusiasm throughout an organisation.

Some of the names who've supported us in this way include ASDA, Little Chef, Office Angels, Lansons Communications and Thomson Holidays.

Product Promotions
Product promotions can be an excellent way for your company to support Tommy's. Not only is there the potential to generate extra sales, a product promotion will also enhance customer perception of your brand, giving you the opportunity to stand out from the crowd.

Recent research by Business in the Community has shown that '77% of consumers were positively influenced at the point of purchase or decision making' by a Cause Related Marketing (CRM) promotion, whilst '80% of all consumers who have taken part in a [CRM] will continue to feel positive about the company.' Another important aspect that can't be ignored is the opportunity to strengthen the loyalty of your employees through your association with the UK's leading baby charity.

Many companies can benefit from a product promotion with Tommy's, regardless of what sector you operate in as these examples illustrate:

Tommee Tippee

Tommee Tippee and Tommy's formed a partnership to launch a new product range. The range consists of four baby products featuring the new penguin character specially created by Tommee Tippee, using Tommy's new corporate identity. Twenty pence from the sale of each item will be donated to Tommy's:

The whole organisation is committed to this initiative and we know we have chosen the right cause to support, one which is very important to our customers, employees and local communities across the UK
Ann Hunter-Love, Managing Director of Jackel International

Tommy's and Weetabix

During Autumn 2001, Weetabix produced special promotional packs of Advantage and Crunchy Bran. Customers had to collect two tokens and send in £3.49 to receive a Jenga game. Tommy's received 50p every time a Jenga game was sold and Weetabix guaranteed to donate a minimum of £10,000 to the charity.

Jump - Sponsors of Baby Day 2001:

As well as supporting Baby Day 2001, Jump, the saving fund for children, donated the 1% initial sharedealing fee to Tommy's for every savings plan taken out during the months leading up to the day itself.

Company Donations
One way to support Tommy's is to offer the charity a financial donation. Many companies allocate donations through a charities committee or company charitable trust and will often give to charities nominated by a member of staff. Why not ask your employer to choose Tommy's?

If your company doesn't donate to charities in this way, you may prefer to Raise Money in the Office with your colleagues.

Gifts in Kind
We are always grateful to hear from anyone who can donate products or services to the charity. You may wish to donate office equipment, stationery, furniture, or even office space? You may prefer to donate prizes for our smalltalk members, or offer your professional expertise? However you think you could help, we would love to hear from you.

Recycling Scheme
Another way to support Tommy's is to recycle your used inkjet cartridges. Tommy's has formed a partnership with a recycling company called Environmental Business Products to encourage the disposal of used inkjet and laser jet cartridges in an environmentally friendly way. Since this scheme began in 1997, over £160,000 has been raised for our vital research and you can help us achieve our goal of £50,000 for this year by returning your used cartridges today. If you would like to support Tommy's in this way, simply call free on 0800 435 576 quoting "Tommy's" to request freepost envelopes for your used cartridges or to find out which cartridges can be recycled.
