We believe every baby deserves the best start in life. We are
committed to funding medical research and providing information to help more mums and
dads through a healthy pregnancy and birth.
One
in five pregnancies ends in miscarriage Four out of five babies who die do so because they are born too small It seems incredible that, at the beginning of the twenty-first century, these figures should still be so high. It is a tragedy that, despite all the best efforts of our medical services, so many pregnancies should end in heartbreak. As the UK's leading
baby charity, we want to know why problems in pregnancy occur, if some
people are more at risk than others and how we can prevent these problems
occurring. Tommy's now offers a telephone information service to help pregnant women and their partners, couples considering pregnancy, parents and health professionals. By dialing 0870 777 30 60 you can receive advice on pregnancy health issues, and also order any of Tommy's information leaflets, either individually or in bulk. Saving babies’ lives Our leaflet for enquirers who want to find out more about Tommy’s. It contains details of projects we fund as well as how to get more involved, and become We are delighted that Jump is sponsoring the leaflet. They have been a corporate partner of Tommy’s for a number of years and we are very grateful for their continuing support. “Jump is delighted to support Tommy’s Saving Babies’ Lives leaflet. The philosophy behind Tommy’s complements our own objective of ensuring children are given the best possible start in life.” (James Budden, Marketing Manager, Jump). Jump, is the savings
fund for children, which allows you to do just that, and because you can
save as little as £25 per month, it is an affordable way to put
something by until your child’s/grandchild’s 18th or 21st
birthday. The little nest egg could come in quite useful for that car
or perhaps gap year travel, or even to help get them by during their university
years!

"A mother's joy in holding her new born baby close to her is indescribable, as is her suffering when she cannot. Two complicated pregnancies; two tiny lives saved; one uncomplicated pregnancy; one wonderful birth. I feel personally indebted to all those who work for Tommy's". Joanna Lloyd |
